Types of Content Accepted
Narrative/episodic/serialized content of any genre, style, and type: comedy, drama, thriller, scripted, unscripted, documentary, social media, influencer, short form,"half-hour", "hour-long", radio, podcast, reality, talk show, game show, animation, kids, gaming, VR, mobile, etc.
Short films under 15 minutes in length may be submitted in the minisodic category.
Projects can be in any stage of development: pitch, script, in-production, post-production, or completed.
Your project can have any number of episodes. Projects with a produced runtime of 14-minutes or less per episode will be considered "short form" and placed in the minisodic category. Individual episodes cannot be greater than 70 minutes in length.
Types of Content Not Accepted
Open everyday, year-round
Projects received on or before July 3, 2020 will be considered for 2020 awards
Projects received after July 3, 2020 will be considered for 2021 awards

Catalyst has two paths:
(1) The Storieroad Institute ($19/mth) designed to help advance your projects & overall career.
(2) The Festival Only ($59/project) designed to showcase your project at the annual festival.

If you are only interested in festival screenings and awards, and do not want to participate in the Storieroad meetings and events, submit your project via Film Freeway.
Please note: to be fair to all content creators, we do not offer fee waivers. All projects must go through the submission and selection process.
